DreamCloud Mattress Review Mattress Dreamcloud X6
I’m super excited about today’s review because I’ll be having a look at one of this newest beds on the market: the DreamCloud hybrid mattress.
This bad boy unites high-density foam with encased coils to get a sleeping experience that promises to be lavish as it’s supportive.
To determine how well this hybrid lives up to that goal, I have put it through a series of tests to measure its overall comfort and ascertain what kind of sleeper could benefit from it most.

CONSTRUCTION
The DreamCloud features an astoundingly tall profile to get a mattress in a whopping 15 inches. The eight-layer construction is broken down into foam and wrapped coil components, which work in tandem to supply the sleeper with a firm innerspring lift and a lot of comfy pressure relief.
Given all the distinct materials at play here, I’m stoked to dive into these layers to see how well they interact together.
Cover: The cover is made up of a cashmere and polyester blend for a luxuriously soft texture up top. Additionally, it is quilted with memory foam, which provides the sleeper with instant pressure relief.
Foam Layers: Below the cover, you’ll find three thin layers of foam. While those sections are soft to the touch and provide some satisfying sinkage, they also respond quickly to pressure, so that you won’t feel stuck in the mattress.
The middle of those three layers is particularly significant for the temperature regulation of the DreamCloud as it’s comprised of perforated latex foam. Latex in general is great at dissipating heat, so the inclusion of these tiny ventilations promotes even more cooling.
These individually wrapped springs provide the mattress excellent bounce and help to disperse motion throughout the construction.
The coils also help in regulating temperatures as the spaces between them allow for steady air flow.
Foundation Layer: A thin coating of high-density polyfoam lies in the underside of the mattress, with all the most important function of cradling the pocketed coils and providing a solid foundation for the entire.

FIRMNESS
After having a look at the construction of the DreamCloud, let’s talk about the firmness and feel.
I started off by applying light hand pressure to the mattress and immediately felt the soft foam of the quilted cover and top layers.
My hand sunk to the material and I could feel some instant pressure relief. Pushing in further, I began to interact with the pocketed coils under and experienced a pleasantlift from the springs.
At this stage I’d love to remember that individuals of different body types and shapes will feel firmness otherwise.
Rather than giving only my view on the overall firmness level of the DreamCloud, I enlisted three other people to present their opinion as well.
I gave the bed a 7.5 and concur with the remaining testers that it is definitely a good mattress.
While you will feel some small sinking from the lavish foam top layers, the individually wrapped coils in the center will lift you from the bed and make you feel like you’re sleeping on top of the mattress. Mattress Dreamcloud X6
PRESSURE MAP
Rather than simply describing the sense of the DreamCloud for you, I wished to supply a visual representation of where somebody may feel pressure points shape while lying on it.
To do this, I placed a pressure map on top of the mattress and lied on my backside, and tummy.
Back: After in my back, my weight was evenly distributed across the mattress, so I didn’t feel like I was sinking into the mattress at all.
The quilted cover supplied quality relief at my lumbar area and the pocketed coils helped to lift me from the mattress and keep my spine in alignment.
Side: As you can see in the chart above, once I rolled onto my side, I began to sense pressure forming at my shoulders and buttocks.
However, I still felt supported and the very best foam layers relieved what distress I felt in this position.
Stomach: Shifting over to my stomach, I thought the DreamCloud did a excellent job of lifting my hips up and out of the mattress , which is key for stomach sleepers.
I have to mention that I managed to transition across these places with comparative ease. Mattress Dreamcloud X6
THE MATTRESS WITH A 365 NIGHT TRIAL & FOREVER WARRANTY
Should you plan on sharing your bed with a spouse , you will want to know what it will feel like when the other person crawls out of bed in the morning or tosses around through the night.
This next test is meant to demonstrate that the intensity of motion that’s detectable from one side of the mattress into another.
To illustrate this movement transfer, I dropped a 10 lb. Steel ball from peaks of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and quantified the disturbance it caused: the bigger the lines, the bigger the disturbance.
The DreamCloud shows a bit of disturbance for the 4 inch drop, which simulates someone rolling around and adjusting their position on the opposite side of the mattress.
While the 8 and 12 inch drops reveal slightly bigger spikes, I would still look at the mattress to be pretty good at isolating movement , as a result of its individually wrapped coils.
This means you’re improbable to be too disturbed by your bed mate’s midnight shimmies, which makes this a great alternative for couples.
If purchasing a new mattress, many people want to know whether they will sense like they’re sinking”to” the mattress or placing”on top” of it.
To picture this sinkage, I put four balls of varying sizes and densities (a 6 lb medicine ball, a 10 lb steel ball, a 50 pound medicine ball, and a 100 pound medicine ball) on the mattress and measured how much they compressed the surface.
The variations in size, weight and density are intended to simulate different body parts and different sized sleepers.
- 10 pound steel ball: 2 inches of sinkage.
- 50 lb medicine ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
- 100 pound medicine ball: 5.5 inches of sinkage.
While you’re going to experience some instant sinkage from the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through these layers, you will hit the wrapped coils and texture fantastic support.
This combo will allure to a wide range of sleepers, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers specifically . Mattress Dreamcloud X6
EDGE SUPPORT
If you’re likely to share your bed with a spouse and want to use the whole surface area of the mattress, and then it’s going to be crucial for one to consider the amount of edge support it will provide.
I’m especially interested to see if the DreamCloud will endure the exact same fate as other compressed bed-in-a-box mattresses which neglect to meet the edge support of more traditional innerspring models.Lying on my back, I sensed supported in the edge of the bed as I did in the center.
Pressing closer to the side, I experienced a little compression because of the highest foam layers, but nothing overly dramatic. Shifting to my side, I once again noticed compression at the foam layers, but it did not carry over into the wrapped coil system under.
This system, along with the polyfoam border support around the mattress, did a great job of supporting my weight. A good deal of foam mattresses experience severe compression in this place, but the DreamCloud actually held up fairly well.
