DreamCloud Mattress Review Dreamcloud Mattress Warehouse Job

I am super excited about today’s review because I’ll be taking check out one of the newest beds on the market: the DreamCloud hybrid mattress.Dreamcloud Mattress Warehouse Job

This bad boy unites high-density foam with encased coils to get a sleeping experience that promises to be as lavish as it’s supportive.

To see how well this hybrid lives up to that goal, I’ve put it through a series of tests to measure its overall comfort and ascertain what kind of sleeper would benefit from it most.

Read below for my entire review of the DreamCloud mattress.

CONSTRUCTION

The DreamCloud features an astoundingly tall profile to get a mattress in a whopping 15 inches. The eight-layer construction is broken down into foam and wrapped coil parts, which work in tandem to supply the sleeper with a firm innerspring lift and a lot of comfortable pressure relief.

Given all of the different materials at play here, I am stoked to dive into these layers to see how well they interact with one another.

Cover: The cover is composed of a cashmere and polyester blend for a soft texture up top. It also is quilted with memory foam, which provides the sleeper with immediate pressure relief.

Foam Layers: Below the cover, you’ll find three thin layers of foam. When those segments are soft to the touch and supply some satisfying sinkage, they also react quickly to stress, so you won’t feel stuck in the mattress.

The center of the three layers is especially significant for the temperature regulation of the DreamCloud as it is comprised of perforated latex foam. Latex in general is great at dissipating heat, so the addition of these small ventilations promotes even more cooling.

Pocketed Coils: The bottom layer of foam transitions into the firmer support section of the mattress, which can be composed of a pocketed coil system.

These individually wrapped springs provide that the mattress excellent bounce and help to disperse motion throughout the construction.

The coils also aid in regulating temperatures as the distances between them allow for continuous air flow.

Foundation Layer: A thin coating of high-density polyfoam lies in the bottom of the mattress, with the main function of cradling the pocketed coils and supplying a solid foundation for the entire.

FIRMNESS

After shooting a look at the construction of this DreamCloud, let us talk concerning the firmness and feel .

I started off by applying light hand pressure to the mattress and instantly felt the soft foam of this quilted cover and top layers.

My hand sunk into the material and I could feel some instant pressure relief. Pushing in farther, I began to interact with the pocketed coils experienced a nice lift from the springs.

At this time I’d like to remember that individuals of different body shapes and types will feel firmness otherwise .

Rather than giving only my opinion on the overall firmness level of the DreamCloud, I enlisted three others to give their opinion also.

DreamCloud-Firmness-Test

Personally, I gave the bed a 7.5 and agree with the rest of the testers that it is definitely a strong bed.

While you will feel some slight sinking out of the lavish foam top layers, the individually wrapped coils in the center will lift you from the bed and make you feel like you are sleeping on top of the mattress. Dreamcloud Mattress Warehouse Job

PRESSURE MAP

Instead of just describing the sense of this DreamCloud into you, I wanted to supply a visual representation of where someone may feel pressure points shape while lying on it.

To do this, I put a pressure map in addition to the mattress and lied on my backside, and tummy. You can view the results on the image below where pressure is represented from blue (low pressure) to red (high pressure).

Back: Once in my back, my weight was evenly distributed across the mattress, so I didn’t feel like I was sinking to the mattress whatsoever.

The quilted cover provided quality relief in my lumbar area and the pocketed coils helped to lift me out of the bed and keep my spine in alignment.

Side: As you can see in the graph above, after I rolled onto my side, I started to sense pressure forming at my shoulders and hips.

However, I felt supported and the top foam layers alleviated what discomfort I felt in this place.

Stomach: Shifting over to my stomach, I thought the DreamCloud did a good job of lifting my hips up and from the mattress , which is key for stomach sleepers.

I have to mention that I was able to transition across these places with comparative ease. Dreamcloud Mattress Warehouse Job

THE MATTRESS WITH A 365 NIGHT TRIAL & FOREVER WARRANTY

If you plan on sharing your bed with a partner, you may want to know what it will feel like when another person crawls out of bed in the morning or tosses around at night.

This second test is meant to demonstrate the high level of movement that is detectable from one side of the mattress into another.

To illustrate this movement transfer, I dropped a 10 pounds. Steel ball from peaks of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and measured the disturbance it caused: the larger the lines, the bigger the disturbance. Dreamcloud-Motion-Transfer-test

The DreamCloud indicates a little amount of disturbance for the 4 inch drop, which simulates someone rolling around and adjusting their position on the other side of the mattress.

While the 8 and 12 inch drops reveal slightly bigger spikes, I would still consider the mattress to be fairly good at isolating movement, thanks to the individually wrapped coils.

This means that you’re not likely to be overly disturbed by your mattress mate’s midnight shimmies, which makes this a great option for couples.

If buying a new mattress, many people wish to know whether they will feel as though they are sinking”to” the mattress or placing”on top” of it.

To picture this sinkage, I put four balls of varying sizes and densities (a 6 lb medicine ball, a 10 pound steel ball, a 50 pound medicine ball, and a 100 lb medicine ball) on the mattress and quantified how much they compressed the surface.

The variations in size, density and weight are supposed to simulate different body parts and different sized sleepers.

  • 6 lb medicine ball: 1.5 inches of sinkage.
  • 10 pound steel ball: 2 inches of sinkage.
  • 50 pound medicine ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
  • 100 pound medication ball: 5.5 inches of sinkage.

While you’re likely to experience some instant sinkage from the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through those layers, you’ll hit the wrapped coils and feel fantastic support.

This combo will allure to a wide assortment of sleepers, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers particularly. Dreamcloud Mattress Warehouse Job

EDGE SUPPORT

If you’re going to share your bed with a partner and need to use the whole surface area of the mattress, it’s going to be crucial that you consider the amount of edge support it will provide.

I am especially interested to see whether the DreamCloud will suffer the exact same fate as other compressed bed-in-a-box mattresses which neglect to live up to the border support of more traditional innerspring models.Lying on my back, I felt supported at the edge of the bed as I did in the center.

Pressing closer to the side, I experienced a small compression because of the highest foam layers, but nothing too spectacular. Shifting to my side, I once again noticed compression at the foam layers, but it did not carry over to the wrapped coil system under.

This system, together with the polyfoam border support round the mattress, did a great job of supporting my weight. A lot of foam mattresses undergo severe compression in this place, but the DreamCloud actually held up fairly well.
