DreamCloud Mattress Review Dreamcloud Mattress At Sam\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’S

I am super excited about the present review because I’ll be having a look at one of this newest beds on the market: the DreamCloud hybrid mattress.

This bad boy combines high-density foam with encased coils to get a sleeping experience that promises to be lavish as it’s supportive.

To determine how nicely this hybrid lives up to this goal, I have put it through a series of tests to measure its overall relaxation and ascertain what sort of sleeper would benefit from it most.

CONSTRUCTION

The DreamCloud features an astoundingly tall profile to get a mattress at a whopping 15 inches. The eight-layer construction is broken down into foam and wrapped coil parts, which operate in tandem to provide the sleeper with a firm innerspring lift and plenty of comfy pressure relief.

Given all of the different materials at play here, I’m stoked to dive into these layers to see how well they interact with one another.

Cover: The cover is made up of a cashmere and polyester blend for a luxuriously soft texture up top. It is also quilted with memory foam, which provides the sleeper with instant pressure relief.

Foam Layers: Below the cover, you will locate three thin layers of foam. While these sections are soft to the touch and supply some pleasing sinkage, they also respond quickly to pressure, so you won’t feel stuck in the mattress.

The middle of the three layers is particularly significant for the temperature regulation of the DreamCloud as it’s comprised of perforated latex foam. Latex generally is great at dissipating heat, so the inclusion of these little ventilations encourages even more cooling.

Pocketed Coils: The bottom layer of foam transitions into the firmer support section of the mattress, which is made up of a pocketed coil system.

These individually wrapped springs provide that the mattress excellent bounce and help to disperse motion throughout the construction.

The coils also help in controlling temperatures as the distances between them allow for constant air flow.

Foundation Layer: A thin coating of high-density polyfoam lies at the base of the mattress, with the main use of cradling the pocketed coils and providing a solid foundation for the entire.

FIRMNESS

After having a look at the construction of the DreamCloud, let’s talk about the firmness and feel.

I started off by applying light hand pressure to the mattress and instantly felt the soft foam of the quilted cover and top layers.

My hands sunk to the material and I could feel some instant pressure relief. Pushing in further, I began to socialize with the pocketed coils under and experienced a pleasantlift from springs.

At this time I’d love to recall that individuals of distinct body shapes and types will feel firmness otherwise .

Rather than giving only my view on the overall firmness level of the DreamCloud, I enlisted three others to present their view as well.

This provides you a better awareness of the firmness range you can expect from the mattress.

I gave the bed a 7.5 and concur with the remainder of the testers that it’s definitely a solid bed.

While you will feel some little sinking out of the lavish foam top layers, the individually wrapped coils at the center will lift you from the bed and make you feel like you are sleeping on top of the mattress. Dreamcloud Mattress At Sam\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’S

Instead of just describing the feel of this DreamCloud for you, I wanted to give a visual representation of where somebody may feel pressure points shape while lying on it.

To do this, I put a pressure map along with the mattress and lied on my back, side, and tummy. You can see the effects on the image under where pressure is represented from blue (low pressure) to red (high pressure).

Back: After in my back, my weight was evenly dispersed throughout the mattress, so I didn’t feel like I was sinking into the mattress whatsoever.

The quilted cover provided quality relief in my lumbar area and the pocketed coils helped to lift me from the mattress and keep my spine in alignment.

Side: As you can see in the chart above, once I rolled onto my side, I started to sense pressure forming in my shoulders and buttocks.

However, I felt supported and the top foam layers relieved what distress I felt in this place.

Stomach: Shifting over to my stomach, I thought the DreamCloud did a great job of lifting my hips up and out of the bed, which is key for stomach sleepers.

I should mention that I handled to transition across these positions with relative ease. Dreamcloud Mattress At Sam\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’S

THE MATTRESS WITH A 365 NIGHT TRIAL & FOREVER WARRANTY

Should you intend on sharing your bed with a partner, you’ll wish to learn what it will feel like when another person crawls out of bed in the morning or tosses around in night.

This next test is intended to demonstrate that the high level of motion that is detectable from one side of the mattress to the other.

To illustrate this movement transfer, I dropped a 10 lb. Steel ball from heights of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and quantified the disturbance it caused: the larger the lines, the bigger the disturbance. Dreamcloud-Motion-Transfer-test

The DreamCloud indicates a small amount of disturbance for the 4 inch drop, which simulates someone rolling around and adjusting their position on the other side of the mattress .

While the 8 and 12 inch drops show slightly bigger spikes, I would nevertheless consider the mattress to be quite good at isolating movement , as a result of the individually wrapped coils.

This means you’re not likely to be overly disturbed by your bed partner’s midnight shimmies, which makes this a great option for couples.

SINKAGE TEST

When purchasing a new mattress, many people wish to know whether they will feel as though they’re sinking”into ” the mattress or laying”on top” of it.

To visualize this sinkage, I put four balls of varying sizes and densities (a 6 lb medicine ball, a 10 pound steel ball, a 50 pound medicine ball, and a 100 pound medicine ball) on the mattress and measured how far they compressed the surface.

The variations in size, density and weight are intended to simulate different body parts and different sized sleepers.

  • 10 pound steel ball: 2 inches of sinkage.
  • 50 pound medication ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
  • 100 pound medication ball: 5.5 inches of sinkage.

While you’re going to experience some instant sinkage in the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through these layers, you may hit the wrapped coils and texture fantastic support.

This combo will allure to a broad range of sleepers, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers especially . Dreamcloud Mattress At Sam\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’S

EDGE SUPPORT

If you’re likely to share your bed with a partner and need to use the whole surface area of the mattress, it is likely to be crucial for one to consider the amount of edge support it’ll provide.

I’m particularly interested to see whether the DreamCloud will endure the same fate as other compressed bed-in-a-box mattresses which fail to live up to the border support of more conventional innerspring models.Lying on my spine, I sensed supported at the edge of the bed as I did in the middle .

Pressing closer to the side, I experienced a small compression because of the highest foam layers, but nothing overly dramatic. Changing to my side, I once again noticed compression at the foam layers, but it did not carry over into the wrapped coil system below.

This system, together with the polyfoam border support round the mattress, did a great job of supporting my weight. A lot of foam mattresses experience severe compression in this position, but the DreamCloud actually held up fairly well.
