DreamCloud Mattress Review Dream Cloud Mattress Llc
I’m super excited about now’s review because I’ll be having a look at one of this newest beds on the market: the DreamCloud hybrid mattress.
This bad boy unites high-density foam with encased coils for a sleeping experience that promises to be lavish as it is supportive.
To watch how well this hybrid lives up to that goal, I have put it through a series of tests to measure its overall comfort and determine what sort of sleeper would benefit from it most.
Read on below for my full review of this DreamCloud mattress. Dream Cloud Mattress Llc
CONSTRUCTION
The DreamCloud features an astoundingly tall profile for a mattress at a whopping 15 inches. The eight-layer construction is broken down into foam and wrapped coil parts, which work in tandem to provide the sleeper with a firm innerspring lift and lots of comfy pressure relief.
Given all of the distinct materials at play here, I’m stoked to dive in these layers to see how well they interact together.
Cover: The cover is composed of a cashmere and polyester blend for a luxuriously soft feel up top. It’s also quilted with memory foam, which provides the sleeper with instant pressure relief.
Foam Layers: under the cover, you may locate three thin layers of foam. While these segments are soft to the touch and supply some pleasing sinkage, they also respond quickly to stress, so that you won’t feel trapped in the mattress.
The middle of those three layers is particularly important for the temperature regulation of the DreamCloud as it is comprised of perforated latex foam. Latex generally is great at dissipating heat, so the addition of these miniature ventilations promotes even more cooling.
These individually wrapped springs provide the mattress excellent bounce and help to disperse motion throughout the structure.
The coils also assist in controlling temperatures as the distances between them allow for steady air flow.
Foundation Layer: A thin coating of high-density polyfoam lies at the base of the mattress, with all the most important function of cradling the pocketed coils and giving a sound foundation for the entire.

FIRMNESS
After shooting a look at the construction of the DreamCloud, let’s chat concerning the firmness and feel.
I started off by applying light hand pressure to the mattress and immediately felt the soft foam of this quilted cover and top layers.
My hand sunk to the material and I could feel some instantaneous pressure relief. Pushing in farther, I started to socialize with the pocketed coils under and experienced a nicelift from the springs.
At this stage I’d love to note that people of distinct body shapes and types will feel firmness otherwise.
Rather than giving just my opinion on the general firmness level of the DreamCloud, I enlisted three other people to give their opinion also.
This provides you a better sense of the firmness range you can expect from the mattress.
Personally, I gave the bed a 7.5 and concur with the rest of the testers that it’s definitely a good mattress.
As you’ll feel some little sinking from the lavish foam top layers, the individually wrapped coils in the center will lift you out of that bed and make you feel like you’re sleeping on top of the mattress. Dream Cloud Mattress Llc
PRESSURE MAP
Instead of just describing the sense of this DreamCloud for you, I wanted to provide a visual representation of where someone may feel pressure points shape while lying on it.
To do so, I placed a pressure map in addition to the mattress and lied on my back, side, and stomach. You can see the results on the image under where pressure is represented from blue (low pressure) to red (high pressure).
Back: After on my back, my weight was evenly dispersed across the mattress, so I didn’t feel like I was sinking to the mattress at all .
The quilted cover supplied quality relief in my lumbar region and the pocketed coils helped to lift me from the mattress and keep my spine in alignment.
Side: As you can see in the chart above, once I rolled onto my side, I began to feel pressure forming in my shoulders and buttocks.
However, I felt supported and the very best foam layers alleviated what distress I felt in this place.
Stomach: Switching over to my stomach, I thought the DreamCloud did a excellent job of lifting my hips up and from the mattress, which is key for stomach sleepers.
I should mention that I managed to transition across these positions with comparative ease. Dream Cloud Mattress Llc
THE MATTRESS WITH A 365 NIGHT TRIAL & FOREVER WARRANTY
If you intend on sharing your bed with a spouse , you’ll wish to know what it will feel like when another person crawls out of bed in the morning or tosses around in night.
This second test is meant to demonstrate the high level of motion that is detectable from one side of the mattress to the other.
To illustrate this motion transfer, I dropped a 10 lb. Steel ball from peaks of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and quantified the disturbance it caused: the larger the lines, the larger the disturbance.
The DreamCloud indicates a little amount of disturbance for the four inch drop, which simulates someone rolling around and adjusting their position on the opposite side of the bed.
While the 8 and 12 inch drops series slightly bigger spikes, I’d still look at the mattress to be fairly good at isolating movement, thanks to its individually wrapped coils.
This usually means that you’re not likely to be too disturbed by your bed partner’s midnight shimmies, making this a great alternative for couples.
When purchasing a new mattress, most people want to know whether they will feel as though they’re sinking”into ” the mattress or laying”on top” of it.
To picture this sinkage, I put four chunks of varying sizes and densities (a 6 pound medicine ball, a 10 lb steel ball, a 50 lb medicine ball, and a 100 pound medicine ball) on the mattress and measured how much they compressed the surface.
The variations in size, weight and density are supposed to simulate different body parts and different sized sleepers.
- 10 pound steel ball: 2 inches of sinkage.
- 50 pound medication ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
- 100 lb medicine ball: 5.5 inches of sinkage.
While you are going to experience some instant sinkage from the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through these layers, you will hit the wrapped coils and feel fantastic support.
This combo will attention a wide range of sleepers, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers specifically . Dream Cloud Mattress Llc
If you’re going to share your bed with a spouse and need to use the whole surface area of the mattress, then it’s likely to be crucial for you to consider the amount of edge support it will provide.
I’m especially interested to see whether the DreamCloud will endure the exact same fate as other compressed bed-in-a-box mattresses which neglect to meet the border support of more traditional innerspring models.Lying in my back, I sensed as supported at the edge of the bed as I did in the center.
Pressing closer to the side, I experienced a little compression because of the top foam layers, but nothing overly spectacular. Shifting to my side, I once again noticed compression at the foam layers, but it didn’t carry over to the wrapped coil system under .
This system, collectively with the polyfoam border support around the mattress, did a great job of supporting my weight. In this position, I wanted to simulate what it would feel like to be sitting on the bed in the morning when you’re lacing up your shoes and getting ready for the day. A lot of foam mattresses undergo intense compression in this place, but the DreamCloud actually held up fairly well.
